Hope everyone had a chance to catch the PKM reunion show last night at the Lincoln Theater in Raleigh. Pee Wee's brother Rob Watson opened the show and PKM took the stage at 10:30. Kenny made the trip down from New York, so it was just like old times. There were several guests on stage later on including: Rod Abernathy, Jason Patterson, Robert Kearns, Mike's Brother Phil, and a few others. The audience was basically a reunion of club goers of the 80's and musicians from bands of the 80's. Pee Wee's daughter got up and contributed vocals on one song. Mike seemed to have a great time. I have said this before, but I really feel that when these three got together back in 1981 that the stars were lined up perfectly because there is a magic that these three have together that is very rare in music. My hope is that we don't have to wait too long for another reunion. Oh yea, there were cameras everywhere last night. If anyone that took pics and reads this could email me a few I would be greatful!!

Well, I don't see any other comments yet but my wife, my son and myself surely enjoyed our selfs. Thank you to every single person who made that happen. It was a great cause... It also was some home comming for me. I was raised in Raleigh and enjoyed the Switch from 1981-to the middle of 83. Then heading off to the USAF for the last 22 years. Always comming home to visit, was sad when I started comming home and found things changing, No Switch, No Nantucket, No PKM, No Sidewinder... You guys just would not believe how much it meant for me to see that show last night. I enjoyed it even more with my wife of 21 years seeing the bands and music I talked about since we met. It is Ironic our 15 year old son was there seeing everyone, He loves the music from all the bands. He has Played some with Tommy and the Boogie Chillins and Machine Gun But last night he got to see what I meant when I tell him about how Raleigh use to be and hanging out at the switch. I don't know why Raleigh has changed so much, but THANK YOU ALL AGAIN for making it a special night for my family I never thought I would see something like that again. I hope the fund raising went well. After last night, it is a bit sad writing this as I Hope that was not the last of the good old days. Keith

i was at the show in roxboro last night.. ...and i must say that even though it wasnt a show like at lincoln theater (crowd wise or ray price biker fest).....larry, tommy and eddie and the guys performed and showed they were and ARE bonafide showmen.......larry ......brought me and my hubby on stage to sing "long way to the top" as well as other audience members....tommy (love ya) brought my son wyatt up on stage to make his (and his daddys) dream come true......to jam with nantucket..... I've noticed alot of you would like to see future "NANTUCKET" shows listed on this site and other sites. I will relay this info to the band and assure you we will try to get this info posted in a timely manner. These sites are not run by the band, although they are aware of them. You guys are right, that this is free advertising, and we all know that the people who visit these sites are true Nantucket fans, who would surely pass the word around to others. Word of Mouth is why you advertise to start with ... right? Sorry you've been disappointed, but I promise I will get the word out to the band! Keep visiting the sites and see how we do! No offense and I appreciate the input, but those aren't Nantucket sites. The first link just goes to an album review of "Long Way to the Top" on a site that covers many bands. They also had reviews for some other Nantucket albums so that was cool. The second link just has the same discography info Sinistar has on here without the cover art. But they aren't the kind of places that would have upcoming show info like here or the 2112 site.

First, I should point out (at least in the case of this site) that the site is not being run for Nantucket. It is for Nantucket fans to communicate and share experiences and info. It is up to the band how they choose to promote their shows and they are no more obligated to update any website than they are to update any other medium. Sure, if they choose to they can send me the info or post it here. I have occassionally been asked why the band doesn't have an "official" site and instead just this site and the other "official unofficial" site. My answer is I don't know but just because a lot of people surf the Internet and a lot of bands have websites, that in no way makes it a requirement that Nantucket do the same. That being said, at the same time, Zach, I feel your pain. LOL! All we can do is encourage anyone with any info to post it as soon as possible.
